This page has been sat open for an hour now waiting for me to write something and I just haven’t. It’s not for lack of stuff to write about, more that I’ve been distracted by the shiny new DVD I have. More on that later though.

So today was the first day of term with our first lecture for our animation module. Our assessment for this is the creation of three e-cards - two animated and one interactive - in Flash. Yay, fun. I hope the other modules are slightly more entertaining.

I guess the best bit of the day has been the eventual arrival of my Mock The Week DVD. In my eyes it’s just perfect. I knew that as soon as I saw that it included an extended edition of my favourite series 5 episode, you know, the one that was on the other night. Despite it being “Too Hot For TV” there certainly wasn’t as much gratuitous swearing as I was expecting, which is definitely fine by me because if I wanted something like that I’d buy a Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown DVD or something similar.

As you may have noticed, I’ve bought a lot of stand-up DVDs recently but none of them have made me laugh quite as much as this panel show has. I love it so, and even more so when Ed Byrne’s on it. There’s obviously a chemistry between the regulars and Dara and it just works so well. I’m looking forward to seeing more stuff!
