I got rudely awoken this morning by my sister phoning me to tell me that Lightening’s on her last legs. Just the type of thing you need to wake up to. So she got taken to the vet’s who said that the infection had spread to her internal organs and that she was in a lot of pain. I’m not entirely sure what happened but I’m guessing she got put down. I’m not entirely pleased at how I was told about it though; a sodding text message saying, “Lightening’s at peace”. It just seemed insensitive to me.

So yes, now we just have two gerbils and our fair-won goldfish who refuses to die; I swear its immortal.

I don’t want sympathies for her death because, to be honest, it hasn’t really affected me. As with all past pets I’ve an uncanny knack of just accepting it as it is the ultimate consequence for living, well, unless you’re our fish…

I also helped Tim procrastinate today, which is kinda what I don’t want him to do so he’ll answer the questions on Angry (Feet). Go me being all counter-productive. I might just have to not-so-subtly remind pester him otherwise it’s just never gonna happen. But yes, I learnt that Tim used to have guinea pigs. Just what you all needed to know isn’t it?

Oh yes, that’s what I was going to write about; my new stalkee Ed Byrne. My uni semester finished on the 2nd May and on 3rd May, in Armagh, both Ed and Jason Byrne are performing. Provided Alick can get the time off work, we’re flying to Ireland on the premise of seeing his family, but with the obvious added bonus of seeing both Ed and Jason perform on the same bill. So yes, that’s me flying to another country to see comedians, less than two weeks after seeing one of them perform in Leeds. The things I do without having Tim to see…
