I’ve enjoyed today. To a certain point anyway.
I’ll start of with the bit that wasn’t so enjoyable, which was my uni coursework. I’ve made a few web pages, which would easily generate several other pages using the database but they were a bitch to code. You try seemingly everything you can think of but does it work? Does it Hell as like. Thankfully, I eventually got it working and now I can insert new articles into my database, show only articles of a certain category and I have a working front page. Which is nice.
More enjoyable things that happened include the arrival of twelve House DVDs, so I’ve got all of them to get through. I’m currently on DVD three. Knowing me I’ll be through them in a week or so cos I’m like that with DVDs. I did plan to keep them til May so they wouldn’t distract me from coursework but that kinda failed…
Also, by courier, a lovely Pinky and the Brain t-shirt arrived from Truffle Shuffle thanks to my lovely boyfriend who bought it for me. It’s a perfect fit and features their famous quote, “‘Gee, Brain. What are we going to do tonight?’ ‘The same thing we do every night Pinky: try to take over the world!’” I think I love it even more cos the punctuation on it is perfect. Hooray!
I also watched Comedy Cuts earlier, which, again, was very enjoyable. Whilst it did have Jim Jefferies, Craig Campbell and Rob Rouse on it, the sketches from Rob Deering and Tim Key and Alex Horne more than made up for them. I think I love Tim Key; don’t tell him though. Also, nothing could have prepared me for seeing Ed Byrne in drag in the “Coming Next” section! I’m so looking forward to seeing that.
Oh, and how could I not mention the purchasing of tickets to see Timothy at The Union Chapel in June for Kirsty, Hannah and myself? Tim’s said he could be persuaded to play Ten Foot Cock there too, which I think would be a thing of beauty. I love irony.
