It’s about time I wrote another one of these things. There are a couple of things I fancy talking about. Let’s start.

This weekend I finally got round to watching the new series of Last Comic Standing, which is essentially a comedian’s version of Pop Idol or something in America. Now see I’m only watching it cos I watched last season’s, which I then only watched because Matt Kirshen was in and to be fair, once he’d been booted out I stopped watching. I think the only reason I’m still watching this season is because the British contestants haven’t been shown yet. The only other reason worth watching is God’s Pottery, who got through in the first episode but them alone will not keep me tuned in and I’ll tell you for why.

The reason this season of Last Comic Standing could potentially turn me off is Fearne bloody Cotton. She just gets everywhere and she’s just stupidly irritating, constantly asking dumb questions and acting the idiot. How on Earth, or even, why on Earth she got this job is beyond me. I mean it’s not as if Bill Bellamy isn’t capable of doing it by himself, he seemed to manage it fine last season. Grr.

Other fun news is that I’ve treated myself to a fancy iPod Touch and I think I’m totally in love with it. I mean I’m not an Apple fangirl in any way whatsoever; Macs annoy the hell out of me and the way they have to have their own file formats irks me no end but I can’t help but fall in love with this little gadget.

I do see flaws in it though, one of them being that the map feature doesn’t do directions in the UK, though the workaround with this is to just click through to GoogleMaps on the browser and get directions that way. Fussy but it gets the job done I guess.

It’s at this point when I realised I started this blog post at 10:20pm and it’s now 2:50am. To be honest, I blame my iPod Touch. It’s totally distracted me and probably will continue to do so tomorrow as I plan on loading a few episode of Mock The Week onto it. Curse me and my short attention span. I will continue to say how fun and interesting it is tomorrow then I guess seeing as I should probably be heading for bed now…
