Hello blog. It’s a been a while since I wrote one of these things. What exactly is the point of the exercise again? I guess I’ll talk about today. It’s not particularly exciting but here goes.
I woke up for 9am expecting the ticket for Fringe shows to be on sale online as I wanted to buy Jimmy Carr tickets for the 16th. 12 o’clock comes round and there’s still nothing to show so I headed to Jimmy’s website where it had a link to TicketWeb for said shows. I followed that and paid an extortionate booking fee considering it’s TicketWeb for three sixth row seats in the centre section of the EICC’s Pentland Suite. One down, twenty two to go…
Obviously, knowing how many’s left implies that I’ve got some sort of timetable set up and you’re right, I do. I have fourteen packed days of comedy including five musical comedians and (sort of) four magicians. It’s a shame no one else shares my total love of magic otherwise I might have someone to see Ali Cook with me but as it is I’ll be on me own, which surprisingly doesn’t bother me seeing as I’ve been to so many other comedy shows by myself. I could update my list to include times and dates of people I’m seeing but to be honest, my iPod has rendered all that as a pointless exercise. If you really care then just ask. Plus, this way it means I don’t end up with any creepy stalkers.
I also kinda caught up with the telly I missed this weekend. I’ve still not watch Corrie though so that’s something to do tomorrow. But anyway, how good was Doctor Who? Ok, so it wasn’t as creepy as past Moffat stories but I thought the general plot was really rather good and it certainly had me interested throughout. The crew still annoyed me though but I guess all they essentially were were killing fodder anyway.
Also today, I freed a butterfly from our greenhouse cos I’m a kind soul but not before grabbing a few photos of the blighter.
Anyway, that’s all for today. I shall try and write up some thoughts on my weekend tomorrow so expect a nice long essay.
