A reasonable couple of days I like to think. I went shopping on Saturday for all of 30 minutes and bought me some trainers as all the one I have at the moment are well and truly knackered. After a couple of years wearing TUK sneaker creepers as my trainer of choice I had a change and bought me some Vans. I feel fully justified in this seeing as the last pair of sneakers I bought were uncomfortable at times and leaked when it rained and these one I bought are comfortable and more than likely more waterproof too. I also bought some cosmetics. I had just planned to buy some eyeliners but when Boots have an offer of three of my favourite eyeshadows for £10, when they’re normally £4.50 each I’m not gonna say no.

Obviously I also saw Doctor Who and despite it being one of Rusty’s episodes it was bloody awesome. Several times I found myself behind my metaphorical sofa. Granted, the end was a bit anti-climatic with the way the thing was dealt with so quickly but then again, I should have really expected it from Russell T Davies really, especially with the cop-out at the end of the last series. Speaking of which, looks like we have another three part finale on our hands this season and no doubt it’ll all be a big blaze of glory affair to mark the last of his proper series.

I also watched a programme on Westerns called ‘How The West Was Lost’. I can’t say I’m a particularly big fan of the western having seem approximately none but to be fair, I tuned in to see the irreverent Rich Hall and I’ll be honest, there were some bits that were a bit plain but there were moments of magic in there that could only have been contributions from Rich’s sense of humour. So I quite enjoyed watching that.

Then I turned on to Film4 to see the Japanese version of One Missed Call, which was recently remade by the Americans. I completely loved it. There’s just something about J-Horror that weirds me out, but in a good way. Again, it was another hiding behind the metaphorical sofa affair (our sofa’s so positioned that if you hide behind it you can’t see the TV) and it’s made me want to go see more of this genre, as though I haven’t seen enough of them already. It also reminded me of the supposed Battle Royale re-make the Americans wanted to do though as far as I can tell, they still haven’t gotten the rights to do it yet so it’s not gonna be ruined just yet.
