So out of curiosity I decided to see if my local comedy night in Leeds had their listings up for the next term. I say term because they clearly cater for students with not having any shows on over summer or Christmas.
Anyway, turns out that they do. It also turns out that they have awesome comedians on too like Jon Richardson and Markus Birdman but unfortunately due to my already pretty full schedule I’m not going to be able to see either of those because Jon clashes with the Jason Byrne gig at City Varieties, which I already have a ticket for and Markus Birdman clashes with Tim in Manchester.
Still, it’s not all bad news as I’m finally gonna get to see Steve Hughes. I might also pop in to see Tony Law too as I enjoyed him when I saw him at the Chapel gig Scratch that, he clashes with Rich Hall/Otis Lee Crenshaw.
I think the most exciting thing about it all though is that Pete Firman’s got a slot and he doesn’t clash with anything! Pete is easily one of my favourite magicians ever (the best ones all seem to come from the same place…) and I was disappointed when I realised that I couldn’t see him on his proper tour but this’ll make up for it quite nicely.
I really do have too much going on this Autumn and that’s without going to see Tim however many times I’m going.
Today I’ve been out trying to find my hair dye but it seems no bugger at Teesside Park sells the one I want so I’m having to go into town tomorrow to go to Boots cos they have one pound off of it. This will also coincide with taking Alick back to On:Spec so that he can pick up his sexy, new glasses. Hooray.
I’ve also been sewing today and my latest t-shirt amalgamation is nearly complete. I’ve just got a few bits and pieces to sew and then it’ll be ready for taking to Edinburgh and showing off.
Speaking of which, it’s weird to think that there are only three days left before I’m there. I’ve not got anything packed or ironed and what have you though I do have lists I guess and as long as I have them then the packing shouldn’t take too long.
