Less of the drama and more of the reviews this time as I’d rather forget about it if you don’t mind.
First exciting thing was that Tim bumped into Alick and myself when we were grocery shopping. He seemed to get stupidly excited over the self-service checkouts and was pondering quitting comedy to work as a checkout chick. As I said, simple things amuse simple minds.
First show of the night was Richard Herring, who was quite simply fantastic. It got off to a bit of a slow start but by the end of the show I was just roaring with laughter. Another show to add to the ‘Best of 2008′ list I think.
Andrew Lawrence was second and he was definitely funnier than when I’ve seen him preview the stuff but he was no match for Richard Herring’s set. I don’t think it helped that I wasn
